Robert Gibbs out – who’s in?

From the New York Times, Press Secretary Robert Gibbs will be leaving his post in February. This gives Obama the opportunity to hire someone closer to his inner circle. In the meantime, we in the peanut gallery can spend the month of January wondering who will step up to be the replacement. Speculation already includes Bill Burton, Josh Earnest, and Jay Carney.

President Obama is currently working out the details of how to conduct his administration’s first big reorganization. He said that Gibbs will remain a “close advisor” after stepping down from his position as Press Secretary.
